Larimer County Home Makeover - HOME MAKEOVER WINNER

Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union announces Beth Davies as our WINNER.

Beth Davies was voted the winner of Addison Avenue’s 2nd Annual Free Home Makeover project from a list of contestants nominated by citizens throughout Larimer County.  Applicants were screened to find the five most qualified candidates.  Voting was open to the public and conducted online and at Addison Avenue branches.

Beth Davies is 59 years old and has great difficulty maintaining her home due to financial and physical hardships.  She has a spinal chord injury which forces her to use a wheel chair and has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.  Beth’s home is in need of interior and exterior painting, landscaping, and multiple repairs are necessary throughout her home.

When Beth Davies received the phone to learn she was the winner she explained, "I had my speech all prepared for not winning.  But now, I receive a call telling me I am the winner.  I am completely flabbergasted and speechless.  I am so thankful.  All of you are so special.  Thank you."

Jeff Zotara, Executive Director of United We Paint states, "My favorite role with United We Paint is the phone call to announce the winner.  I know how thankful Beth Davies is and how much she is accomplishing in her life.  She is dealing with a disability, struggling with cancer, and raising her grandchild.  This is Addison Avenue’s second project in Larimer County and we expect an outpouring of volunteerism to accommodate Beth Davies wish list."

"Addison Avenue is excited to participate and continue the tradition of rolling up our sleeves to help our neighbors.  Our employees, family and friends are enthused to help Beth Davies, a deserving homeowner.  We are all personally committed to providing Beth an amazing home makeover experience," said Michele Lee, Loveland Branch Manager for Addison Avenue.

The credit union is seeking additional volunteers to help their employees paint, landscape, build and clean-up.  Volunteers are needed on Saturday, July 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
